EcoDriver v0.1 beta

EcoDriver is the application created to take care of our planet Earth. EcoDriver is the mobile EcoDriving assistant, which uses OBDII interface. Application is connected with internet portal available on http://www.EcoDriver.me. The whole system allows to learn how to improve the ecology level of our planet by EcoDriving, having good fun by the way and saving some money.

Application to be working correctly requires an OBDII Bluetooth device which can be bought on eBay for ~6-7$. List of the cars fully supporting OBDII can be found here -> http://www.outilsobdfacile.com/vehicle-list-compatible-obd2.php

Such a OBDII Bluetooth device is then connected to OBDII port in our car. We can then connect with this device via Bluetooth in our smartphone using EcoDriver application and make a use of full EcoDriver's facilities and functionality.

Android application allows for:

- create a new user account in EcoDriver system

- logging in

- setting car's engine parameters

- connecting with OBDII Bluetooth device

- recording trips and saving results on the server

- defining new challenges and inviting other users to these challenges

- viewing your own trips

- accepting/rejecting invitations to chellenges from other users

- EcoDriving learning mode - allows learning when the gears should be changed to provide that we drive our car in a most eco way.

Before the first use of some functions application requires completing the gears calibration mode - it allows the application to get familiar with the gears in your car to be able to detect on which gear you will be driving in a particular moments.

Application fully supports two launguages for now: Polish and English.

Please also visit http://www.EcoDriver.me where you can check all your recorded trips, momentary statistics on a particular parts of your trips (in the form of charts as well), compare your results with other users using few types of global rankings. You can also manage the challenges there.

We are currently still working to make our application fault-tolerant. For now we state that during navigation/registering trips the Internet connection is continuous.

The navigation system could not work 100% correctly for now, so please take it into account.

Momentary fuel consumption could be a bit inaccurate for the moment now.

All knows issues will be fixed in the next release version.

Application in a development phase, we count on your understanding and reporting all bugs found.

Please report all possible errors.
Especially please use "Report" option when application unexpectedly craches, it will help us to fix the issue asap. Of course we hope it would never happen :).
